OPEN HOUSE - Saturday August 28

Member Dick Diehm is having an open house. on Saturday August 28th, between 11AM till 6PM,
Rain Date Sunday August 29th.

Will have light foods and drinks on hand.

Directions:

From Lehigh Valley; Rt 222 South to Kutztown, onto East Main Street past Park on left,
turn left onto South Laurel Street go 3 blocks to Broad Street,
turn right to 233 Broad Street on right.

From "West"; Rt 222 North to Kutztown onto Kutztown Road, past College, cross railroad tracks,
Take next right onto South Maple Street, go 3 blocks to Broad Street,
turn left to 233 Broad Street on left.

We will be discussing open houses, holiday train display,
new business, old business etc.
Anybody working on any small projects,
 buildings' rolling stock and the like
 feel free to bring it along and talk about it.
 We will have some refreshments.
Food will be most welcome.

November and December 2009
we had our annual holiday display,
this year at the
 America on Wheels Museum
in Allentown

We were part of the Train Time
display to benefit
Second Harvest Food Bank
as well as Toys for Tots.

On Wednesday December 23, 2009, a check for $3000.00 was given to SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK from the LVLS club. The money was provided from the "AMERICA ON WHEELS" museum as promised. SERVICE ELECTRIC TV was there to tape the proceedings. Jim Barker (President), Barbara Karkutt (Treasurer), Barry Yeakel (Secretary) represented LVLS. Jim Barker was interviewed as well as the representative from SECOND HARVEST. We were told the segment should air sometime after the new year but was not sure when. If you have SERVICE ELECTRIC CABLE be sure to try to watch it.
